The air harshly shifts around them as they step “outside” the world. The eerie stillness of the plaza giving way to a cold wind.
“ c’mere, lets sit. You don’t have to um say anything. “
Myphone hums in acknowledgement.
“ unless um, you want’ I just- i was worried about y- ”
“OUGF” - two cheese is suddenly cut off by a very nearby (?) tinny thud sound.
Whipping around the two are confronted with a person… very much on the ground. Seems she’s tripped over.
Neither of them were really expecting this, with Myphone not feeling in a great state for socialization, him and two cheese slunk off together not long after the announcements.
Evidently they were followed.
“Sniffle- jheyyy.” BB picks herself up, jumbled but persevering as kids tend to be.
“Can I come with you guys? Didn’t wanna get left behind, s’ I just started following someone”
“Oh! of course.” Myphone gestures for her to sit next to them.
“I ordered an uber” Tc says, leaning back and looking up at the two.
A quiet moment passes, wind chimes from across the street work to fill the silence.
A car pulls up, TC smiles (twice) and stands up to greet the driver.
The tinted window intently starts rolling down as they stare at their own reflection in it. Revealing the driver to be, A SEAGULL, LIKE FROM THAT ONE OTHER TIME.,
The other three start making pleasantries, two cheese looks on horrified.
“Do you need help?” bubble bombs words help to cut through they’re shock, and also helping them realize, right. I AM too short for cars.
“Er, yeah! Thanks.” The two are hoisted up into the closest seat. The fabric feels nice under their hands, rough.
“Ayee how are we feeling today, youse fellows are looking’ to go pretty far off today huh?”
Two cheese doesn’t have it in them today to say anything, neither does Myphone evidently. Apparently the silence towards his question doesn’t appear to be much of a problem with the driver, as he seems to be fumbling with a cigarette.
Adjusting his mirror, he notices bubble bomb in the back bouncing around excitedly while trying to help tc with their buckle. (and failing)
“Hey wait is that a kid? Fff- eyy whatever okay, lets go.” he says, chucking the unused cig out of the window in a hurry. Making an immediate grimace of regret.
“Everyone set?” is met with cheers and awkward smiles.
“... Myphone.” two cheese’s voice breaks the silence, they speak softly.
“Where did you go?”
The silence returns, thicker now than ever.
“...”
“Please?”
“I don’t- know if i should”
“Myph-”
“Drop it” Myphone says, a defensive snap. He already looks like he regrets saying it out loud, but just turns to the window.
Two cheese looks up at them and realizes that was, bad. They hold their “head” in frustration.
Bubble bomb hums at Myphones (dimmed) screen being pointed at her.
“Mmmm’brgr.” she says tugging on myphones arm, pointing out the window.
Tc looks over, meeting eyes with the seagull and getting caught off guard. The driver tilts their head.
“Excuse me, do you think we could pull over.” Two cheese asks. Glancing over at their exhausted companions.
“Not a worry lil guy.”
The night air is cool. Bubble bomb drags tc with them like a teddy bear, Myphone trails right behind.
The car pulls to a halt, their journey coming to a close. It wasn’t long after that trip to boboats burgers (trademark) that they’d finally arrived. Bubble bomb is sound asleep, full of burgers.
Climbing up over the seat, two cheese gives the driver a big wad of cash for the trouble, all seagull crimes forgiven for being a great guy, all that bonding and road songs; what a memorable time we all had together on screen.
“ . . . How DID you afford this. The trip was like 6 hours. A 6 hour uber ride.” Myphone asks
